Hello form the other side! Just kidding, Adele has been on my mind. Clearly it’s been a while since my last confession, I mean blog! In the few years since my last post I had another baby. Lucky number 3. He’s now two and he’s one of the cutest kids you’ll ever meet. He’s incredibly chill and also funny! We all love him to pieces.
So how are things in your world? Is it all well or are you trying to find your way? At the ripe old age of 35, I’ve clearly learned that things aren’t always going to be well. Having a tool box full of tools to deal with those times where things seem overwhelming is really important. I think we have to go through these really rough times to realize how good we really have it. We go through them to grow! If you aren’t growing through the rough parts, then it’s really time to take a look at your life and think about what needs to change.
So far this year has been an amazing learning experience. I took some time off from work and was able to focus on my family. I can’t say I loved every second of it. That would be a lie! Have you spent time with 3 young children lately? I was able to get my house in order. The chaos was really getting to me. Some people thrive in chaos and some of us lose it! Getting everything organized has helped me to regroup and refocus on what’s important. When we go through these periods, things change. Unhealthy friendships may end and new friendships may blossom. I started making more time for the things I love, like going to bootcamp every week. I rearranged my schedule to fit things in that made me happy. I also ended toxic relationships. It’s not as easy as it sounds. Sometimes ending things that are toxic could come with some back lash. Push through. People who know you, who love you and who see who you truly are, will still be there even when you have to take time off to find your way. Are things perfect, now that I’ve taken time off? No. Nothing will ever be perfect. You just realize that you don’t have to spend as much time doing the things you don’t like to do. This will probably have to be a post on it’s own.
I’m so happy to be back in the office, helping clients figure out how they can feel their best. My massage isn’t the answer to everyone’s problems, but I hope that I can at least help guide you to figure out what you need. Thank you for hanging on and for being patient while I took some time to figure out how to make everything work around my family. They are of course, the most important people in my life. Sometimes we have to take a step back and pause for a little while before we can jump back into the craziness of life. I hope all is well in your world.
